In order to minister in music of any kind, (be it solo artist, choirs, Worship teams, Christian bands.) You have to agree to the following guidelines.
Most important and the key to this Event is, the music, it has to be Praise and Worship. It has to be uplifting to the Body of Christ. This event is a day of PRAISE and WORSHIP. It is not a battle of the bands, or a Christian Crusade.
This day is for the believers of all faiths to come together with only one common goal. That goal is to join as one to praise and worship our Father in heaven. Since this is a gathering of believers, there is no preaching or teaching. We leave that to the PASTORS, TEACHERS, PREACHERS, PRIEST and MINISTERS of the Christian Churches and Fellowships.
The reason for this rule is simple. If this became a teaching event then Doctrine will be taught. When Doctrine is taught, it no longer is an event to unite, but an event that will do just the opposite.
Yes we have a commission to go out and bring others to Christ. Those events are Crusades, as stated before, the Gathering is not that. If the unsaved hear the message through the music and song and see people who love the Father, the Holy Sprit will use you to touch their hearts and souls. We pause when the Spirit leads and follow His leading in this.
