Before anything else I have to say "THANK YOU" to all who helped, worked and participated in this years Gathering of HIS Body. I want so badly to name names of everyone and every Church that came and ministered either by working in service to the Body of Christ or ministering in song. There are so many and if I name one person and forget another and not name them, I would feel horrible. Thank you to all, our Father knows who did what and their heart for doing what you did.
We had people working in the obvious ways of cooking and feeding as well as working the information tables and parking. We even had a young lady who is due to have her baby in about a week (or so) work the parking area letting in the cars of the performers and Venders for over four hours.
We had one person keep the generators going all day and of course the people taking care of the trash and restrooms. The many people it took to work each stage just setting up and tearing down as well as keep them running on time.
The two sound companies (Daystar Audio & J.C. Power and Light Studio) who worked so hard to bring the Body of Christ the wonderful sounds from Stages 2 & 3. We even had a brother from "S.A.G. Sound Productions" work the sound equipment that Daystar Audio provided for Stage 1. (Maybe next year he will bring his equipment and work stage 1)
Then there were the members of the Body who worked so hard praying that our Father would be blessed in what He saw at the Gathering. His children coming together to give Him Praise and Worship. Members of the Body who prayed that the weather would be nice and people would come. The many who fasted and prayed had their prayers answered.
We did have a scheduling problem for one stage and a huge disappointment for one Christian group as well as those prepared to and wanting to hear them. Our Father put in on my heart to make sure that never, ever happens again, "Cross music" who has blessed us at the Gathering for the past two years was scheduled at a time that they could not minister and clearly it was my mistake, apologies are never enough when a mistake like that happens. I can only pray that they can forgive me and I am offering them first choice of a locked in time next year (if they see fit to come back and minister.)
On that note, I am asking those interested to join with me in a "lessons learned" meeting to discuss this years event. We need to go over the day to see where we can improve the gathering of HIS body and other things that we can do to make this better next year. I can tell you right now that Stage 1 will be discussed as well as other things on my heart. I really want to get your input. We would really like 'Corrective Criticism" we are not looking for praise in any form. Anything that we can do better for our Father we have to do and we will do.
